Iowa City Wedding

It’s still early in the wedding season but that doesn’t mean things can’t get interesting.

After the rain had stopped and the wedding party dried off the seats the stage was set for a lovely ceremony at the Shakespeare stage in Iowa city.  On of my favorite things about this wedding was that it didn’t get to caught up in the “wedding” and was completely focused on the real reason for having a wedding, the marriage and sharing it with family and friends. Kandace and Andy even walked a few miles from the ceremony to the reception along side of their guests so the could visit and share the day with the people who mean most to them. I also enjoyed sharing this for my own selfish reasons, Andy brews his  beer!  Andy had brewed a few special beers to share with all of the guests (including their photographers ;) It was the prefect addition to a completely unique wedding.

Later in the evening to contrast the rain from earlier in the day, across the street from the reception site was a structure fire which became quite the spectacle. This is something that I can say I have never seen at a wedding and I’m sure no one will forget.

Thank you for having us along for the ride!

Wedding season in full swing!

Wedding season is now in full swing, literally. What a beautiful day for a wedding, the weather was perfect for a quick visit to the park. Below is an image that Sara had taken of Ron and Kim goofing around on the swings. This has to be one of my favorite pictures so far this year. Believe it or not, none of this was staged for a photo, Just two big kids having fun!

Brenda & Travis

What can I say…. Brenda and Travis were meant to be. This is a true love story that was years in the making. Meeting each other over a decade ago during a weekend cruising session and then finding each other several years later on in life, Brenda and Travis have an awesome story of how the meet and how they got to be where the are now. I am looking forward to sharing their wedding day and I feel privileged to be part of such an event that in my opinion, was a truly match made in heaven.
