Allison and Aaron had a beautiful wedding reception at The Temple of Performing Arts in Des Moines, IA. Aaron is the brother of another one of our brides from 2009, it was great to see the familiar faces and reconnect with past clients. I even gave Cody, the groom for the 2009 wedding, one of my cameras at the reception for a while. He was having a blast running around take pictures of his friends, although I don’t think he knew what any of the buttons did.

Along with their dog, who I had the privilege of meeting during the engagement session, Erin and Kevin had a great day. The shoe below is part of tradition where the bride and her friends drink champagne from it, yes it was new. The wedding was followed by a reception at the Grand River Center in Dubuque, IA. This has to be one of my favorite places for a reception in Dubuque. One of Erin’s bridesmaids had arranged for a group of Irish line dancers to come in during her speech, it was awesome! Steph and Marcus had their wedding at Cedar Ridge Winery out side of Swisher, IA. What a great location for a wedding! Originally the ceremony was going to be outside, unfortunately, we had a little rain. Everyone pitched in to move the event in the tent which turned out to be beautiful! After the ceremony the rain let up and we were able to go outside for a few family photos with the vineyard as a beautiful back drop.
